TIRES TYRES..

100_8208

However you spell them, they are great. Now to install them. Lucky me I know someone with a tire machine. Neener neener neener.. OK that's just a leeeeetle bit childish. But anyways, tomorrow they will be installed & I will be happppppeeeeee.

Two of the yokos that these are replacing are good. They will become full sized spare tires. Is there any other kind worth bothering with? No. Two tires are not OK. Consensus is someone drove with the e-brake on. E-brake is busted. Tires have flat spots. The quest for truth on this mystery is solved. OK Summer Yokohamas--I don't totally hate you anymore. But still. Tires to be fixed tomorrow. E-brake will be looked at & then we will plan replacement for the E-brake shoes as well. Also being looked at is the window regulator--going to see if that is an easy adjustment type fix or if it's a replacement type fix--better to know going in if I need to order parts or if I can order shoes for me instead. ;) Also the driver's seatbelt was throwing a fault or code, if you will. (WHAAAASAT? A code for a seatbelt??? Spose that is why the lights light up saying, HELLO Driver, please put on yer seatbelt? And it must also send a message to the dash so it knows it works A OK??? My 850's still works correctly!!! HMPH!) I received my package today for the buckle. So hopefully that will be fixed over the weekend or sometime BEFORE and this is key, before the code pops up again. Seriously love my friends at the dealership--still don't want to spend excessive time there tho. Who does? The car is never ready when I am. Five whole minutes after arrival. I can't sit still, what can I say?

Ok so.. seatbelt buckle, tires, window regulator--or maybe the window is just off the tracking or something. Then the e-brake replaced. I'm also looking at the brake pads & rotors when we're there too. Def need to make sure those are good to go, before winter comes. DAMN MIGHTY FRIGID in the garage!! I will not be working on the volvo come winter. I will not be working on ANY of our cars come winter. Garage heater or not.

Quick Update: Magnus is going to live!

1995 850 Turbo

SO HAPPY! SO FREAKING HAPPY! One of my hubby's pals is going to take Magnus, get him a new (used) Volvo engine & fix him & pass him along to his father who needs a car right now. I AM ECSTATIC! Yes time to take the Craig's list ad down. I'm giving the car away & I'm so happy for that. *Anything to recycle, anything to keep good old stuff going, longer!

Now back to the fun (drudgery) times of picking out new tyres for the V70 XC (which without an update, I've found out, they are notorious for spitting out trannies. Glorious. I'm fairly certain this upgrade was done, but now at least I know to mention it to the 'stealer' next visit. Right after I go {RUN!} drain & refill the tranny fluids.
